Topping-out ceremony in Karlsruhe
Structural work on the new HQ building for the KVBW Pension Fund (Kommunaler Versorgungsverband Baden-Württemberg) is now complete. Located close to Karlsruhe’s iconic Lohfeldsiedlung residential quarter, this vast structure, its varying building heights and delicate, rhythmical façade provide a fitting response to the surrounding urban environment, is being erected by sop | architekten.
The building, which offers flexible, modular office space comprising some 840 workstations, was the winner of a 2014 Europe-wide design competition.
